January

Well, January was such a blah month. The weather got cold, we finally got snow, we stayed inside as much as possible.  That about sums it all up.  So, here are a few random pictures we took during the month.

Yes, we took the cat for a walk.  He loved being outside.  We didn't, it was cold!

Chad spent one Saturday morning sharpening all the pencils in the house with his power drill...

The Super Bowl.  I'm still not allowed to mention it.

Dexter loves the laundry basket. (slow month, right?)

Yes, there is only about 1/2" of snow, but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying all it's glory.  I think I counted at least 15 kids out there at one point.  They made a bunch of huge snowballs and they were all melted by the next day.
Dexter kept attacking the snowflakes out the window.

Can't you tell it was a dull month?  All the cat pictures...

And a bunch of random, kind of scary, toy pictures the kids took.  See Noah's feet sticking out at the bottom of the picture, as he photographed his pile of toys?

BørneFest

Every year Lexi and Myra's school host a Childrens Festival night.  The teachers set up a dance room, gambling room (yeah, I know...), a cafe and other activities.  The kids get all dressed up in their best and go off for a night of fun.  Both girls were so ecstatic about it this year.  They were counting down the days for weeks before the night.
They both had a wonderful time and I got to go in for the last 15 minutes to see what they'd been up to for the evening.  So fun!

Turning 35

On January 1st, I celebrated my 35th birthday.  I have to admit that it was a kind of depressing birthday for me to hit.  I feel so old!  At least my family treated me well and made a nice day of it for me.  I enjoyed spending the day with my family, hanging out in my pajamas all day!
Yes, Noah wore a party hat all day.
Good Job decorating the cake Chad!
 Look at all those candles!
After I blew out the candles, you could see where the heat had started to melt the buttercream frosting. =)
