Random March Pictures - Mostly of the Cat =)

One day, Noah and I spent quite a while, looking through pictures of Cats in Boxes on Pinterest.  Apparently, cats love boxes, as evident with our cat as well.

The kids are always taking pictures around the house, of their messy bedroom and the fridge.  Hmmm.....

These ducks showed up nearly every day during March.  It drove Dexter crazy.  One day, when even found one of them sitting on our balcony.

 Spring!

Alexys's 7th Birthday!

On March 25th, our little Lexi turned 7!  Can you believe it?  I can't!  I think her birth is the most vivid in my mind out of all of my kids because of the scary circumstances of her earlier delivery.  She was so tiny, I just can't believe that 7 years have gone by!  Lexi is still little, but she is sure a spit-fire.  She keeps us all on our toes.  We love her so much!
On her birthday she opened presents, including her very own camera.  She went to school and shared rice krispie treats with her class, Dad came home early and we went swimming and then ate at McDonalds for dinner.  It was such a fun day for a very special 7 year old!

Lexi's Birthday theme this year was Caterpillars.  So, we had a caterpillar cake and banner. We also had a friend birthday party for her, which ended up being so much fun for all of us.   Chad made an awesome caterpillar pinata and I did caterpillar cupcakes.  Lexi had about 10 friends come over.  We also invited our friends, the Jensens, to help out with translation.  It went much better than last year's crazy party for Myra with a ton of kids we couldn't talk to.  Anyway, we played pin the head on the caterpillar, the kids all got to make their own necklace, we had cupcakes, opened presents and hit the pinata.  It was a fun birthday party.  (April 12th, 2014)

Pinatas are not common here, so we ended up with quite the crowd watching us.  There was even someone video-taping it.

St Patricks Day

St. Patrick's Day is not typically celebrated in Denmark.  But, some of the ex-pats in the city, have been able to put together a little song and dance activity that I had heard about and thought it would be fun to take the kids to.  It ended up not being quite what I would have expected.  There was a lot more drinking of beer than anything else.  I had thought there would be several kid activities, but those seemed to have fizzled out.  Oh well, we enjoyed the city anyway.  We walked around the disney store, got ice cream at McDonalds, the kids did get to have their faces painted and we got to listen to a little irish music.  Overall, the kids had fun. Even if it wasn't exactly what we were expecting.

The Zoo

Noah's class got to go to the Copenhagen Zoo again.  When I went to take drop him off at the school that day, they told me that one of the teachers who was going was sick, so I asked if they'd like me to go with them to help out.  So, at the spur of the moment, I was off to the zoo with them as well.  It was a fun day, hanging out with Noah.

The polar bears were really fun to watch, swimming over us.

They were trying to get one of these snakes to eat a dead rabbit that was in the cage.  We were really hoping to see it swallow it's dinner, but he was being shy.
