Fighting in the Woods

Røllespil or Role Playing, is very popular in Denmark.  At least twice a year, the kids all head up to the woods and gather with several other schools for 3 days of "fighting" in the woods.  They dress up in typically medieval garb, sometimes they have princesses, fairies, angels, goblins, monsters and other things. I think it's structured, some how, but mostly, it just looks like absolute chaos.  100's of young kids chasing each other through the woods with fake swords and pixie dust.  It's something that would never fly in the US, but honestly, it seems like so much fun.  I'm so glad my kids are having these experiences.  Well, this November, we were having great weather and so they put together a small scale røllespil with the kids at the school.  It was just in the surrounding wooded area, so I was able to go over and take a few pictures.  Don't the kids look like they are having so much fun?  Love it!
