Every day for the past 4 or 5 days, we have had this pair of ducks that come and stand below our kitchen window, begging for bread. We fed them the first time, so they just keep coming back. Today, the Daddy duck came by this morning and then this afternoon, they both showed up. The kids just LOVE feeding them bread and dreaming about the day when they show up with a swarm of baby ducks. It's actually kind of fun.
Usually as soon as we start feeding the ducks, a bunch of Seagulls (or Eagles as Lexi calls them) show up and try to steal the bread from the ducks. This usually results in a lot of screaming from the children. It doesn't do much to scare them away. So, feeding the ducks is fast becoming a part of our daily routine. I wonder how long it will last.
