VestAmager

With the days getting nicer, we decided it was time to go hunting for some tadpoles at VestAmager Nature park.  In the past, we've gone out their and ridden our bikes around, but this time we decided to just play in the water and look for tadpoles.  There were a lot of them this year and the kids collected a ton of them.  They were all soaked by the time we left, especially Noah who took a bit of a tumble in the water, haha!

The kids all started out on the shore, but eventually lost their shoes, hiked up their shorts and dived right in.

Myra gave up with the nets and just caught the tadpoles by hand.

 Counting the tadpoles.

After Noah fell in, we just took his shirt off.  He was so embarrassed.

Lexi caught a frog and carried it around with her for a long time.  She really wanted to sneak it home with her, but we talked her into letting it go.
Duck with her babies.  We could only see 2 at first, but when she got up and went in the water, they started appearing from all over, I think we saw maybe 8 of them!
A few of the tadpoles we brought home.  Unfortunately, none of them grew into frogs this year.
