Grammy and Aunt Natalie in Denmark

We were so excited when we found out that Chad's Mom and Sister Natalie were coming to visit us.  We planned for a week in Denmark and then a week in Paris.  Of course, the time in Denmark was filled with a lot of the same places we've been to, sometimes several times before, but we always love visiting these places again.  Every time I go to a place again, I notice something new and different.
Anyway, throughout our time in Denmark, it rained quite a bit and we didn't have a car that would fit all of us, so it took a bit of creative shuffling and extra train riding than normal.   We spent time in Copenhagen, climbed the round tower, visited Christiansborg Castle, Rosenborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle.  I also got a girls day out with Judi and Natalie to Roskilde Cathedral.  It is so fun to get to show people around our city.  We had a great time visiting all of these places, but really, it was just so nice to have family visiting.  We loved it!

Lexi and Dad had to walk home from the train station one day.  Great fun, in the rain!

Yeah, this is how our kids felt about castles on this day.

Roskilde Cathedral - The changing colors on the leaves were beautiful.
The day we went to Frederiksborg Castle, Lexi and I rode the train there and met up with the others.  It was a very long train ride and Lexi started feeling sick by the end of it, but we had a really fun time together.  We had to walk a ways from the station to the castle, but despite the light rain, it was really fun.

The nice thing about the rain is it drives people inside, so we got some great people-free pictures!

I LOVE the Carl Bloch paintings here.  They are so beautiful.
 My favorite.

This the kids (and Grammy's) favorite part, the kids getting to dress up.  They love it!

We wanted to take everyone to the Frilandsmuseet and the day we chose was raining like crazy.  I stayed home with Noah, while Chad took everyone else in the car.  They didn't stay too long, the downpour made it not so much fun.
