Rollespil - October 2014

Once again, the kids got to participate in the big Role Playing activity that the schools put on for the kids every spring and fall.  The kids are so excited about it for weeks, talking about what they are going to be (fighter, healer, seller) and what they are going to wear, who they are going to hang out with, etc. It's quite the event.  Noah and I headed up there on one of the days to check it out and take some pictures.  They bus kids in from several different schools and it always amazes me to see several 100 kids (and adults) running around through the woods, faces painted like savages, brandishing play swords, fighting with one another.  It looks like so much fun!  I think some adults seriously become teachers just so they can do Rollespil with the kids, haha!

Noah wanted to get in on the action.
I thought it was funny to see the leaders taking a sword-fighting break to check their smart phones.

For the 3 days, they have a storyline that they play out.  This year it was something about a princess being kidnapped by Ogres and they had to rescue her.  When it was all over though, they gathered everyone together in an open field and had a battle with Teachers versus Kids.  The teachers won. =)

Lexi and Noah trying on the crown.
Awww, Lexi walking with her friend.
