Lexi's 6th Birthday!

On March 25th, Lexi turned 6!

We had such a fun day.  For a couple of weeks leading up to her birthday, she was so excited.  It was all she could talk about and every day we had to count down until her birthday.  That morning, Chad had to work early, so we made her wait until that night to open presents.  I let her open the gifts from her brother and sister, so she would have something to play with that morning.

After getting ready, the kids and I headed into Copenhagen to the museums.

We started out with lunch and McDonalds, which is a very rare treat here.

The kids were especially excited when they saw a bunch of boys that they thought looked liked the boys from One Direction.  Not that they are big fans or anything, we had just happened to watch a video from the band a couple of days before.  I doubt One Direction was randomly having lunch at McDonalds in Copenhagen, but you never know. =)  After that, we headed to the National Museum and it was closed!  We were so sad, but luckily we still had the Disney Store to visit and then on to the Post and Tele Museum.  The Disney store was so packed, we could hardly walk through it, but I let the kids pick out new Water Bottles and then when we were checking out, Lexi told the cashier it was her birthday and presented her with a special birthday pin, certificate and on their big movie screen in the store, they flashed her name on it.

It made it really fun!  After that we went to the Post and Tele Museum.

The kids love the play places at these museums, so it makes them really fun to visit.  After playing there, we left and Chad was able to meet us for the trip back home, where we had Chicken and French Fries for dinner.

Lexi opened the rest of her presents and then our friends, the Jensen's, came over to sing Happy Birthday and have cake.

It was a really fun birthday and I think all of the kids had a lot of fun.  It's so hard to believe that Lexi is 6!  She is a such a sweet, special, spunky girl.  We all love her so very much and are so grateful to have her in our family!

Almost 2 weeks after Lexi's birthday, we were able to have her class come to our house for another Birthday celebration.  They all walked over from the school and we played some games, opened presents, ate brownies and jello and just played.  I thought they would just stay for about an hour, but the class ended up staying the entire class time, nearly 3 hours!  We had a lot of fun and Lexi especially enjoyed sharing our house with her friends.

  1. Oh my heavens the weirdest thing happened this afternoon! I was looking at your blog and Camille came up and asked me who the kids were in this post. I told her to look again and she still couldn't figure out it was Lexi. She even had a hard time recognizing Myra and I don't think if I had just told her the picture was of Lexi that she would have figured it out herself! It is true though that Lexi and Myra are starting to look "different" than I remember them. Camille almost didn't believe me that it was Lexi and then was freaking out and wondering if she should know the other kids in the picture too. So crazy how big Lexi is getting and Myra is looking pretty tall herself! Anyway happy birthday Lexi!!
